Hacking Sony: Bad Ideas

Could bad things happening to our game creators affect the games we play? PSN was hacked and as it was, Sony's stock prices fell drastically. If their stocks fall their revenues fall and they no longer want to fund that amazingly innovative game that they would have before...so could attempts at Sony have a negative impact on all Sony gamers? It seems likely that it may. Studies show that when a company is threatened it is less likely to take risks that may make it money but may not live up to expectations. We all remember what happened to the Sega Dreamcast right? If not then don't feel bad because that was my point. When Sony went from the PS2 to the PS3 it took them 4 years. It has already been 7 years with the PS3. Does this mean Sony is reaching a plateau? Should they go forward with a next gen console when they may not reap the benefits? Could this hacking of PSN have delayed the release of the next gen console that some speculate will be coming out next Christmas? Who truly knows other than Sony. I urge all the hackers out there to cease before we are stuck with the same gen console for yet another year.
